Hey! I’m Marianne, I just turned 18, and I’m from Tallinn, Estonia – yes, the small Baltic country with the digital everything and lots of forests. Right now, I’m finishing up secondary school, focusing on literature and art history. I speak Estonian and English fluently, plus some rusty Russian that I mostly use to understand memes. I work part-time in a little vintage café in the Old Town, so I smell like coffee and cinnamon rolls most days. I’m the friend who remembers everyone’s birthdays but forgets her own phone somewhere. I’m obsessed with cloudy autumn days when the sea looks like silver glass. I love layering oversized sweaters over long skirts – it’s very Tallinn girl energy. Also, I spend way too much time listening to indie folk and 90s dream pop while walking through the cobblestone streets. My biggest joy is finding an old vinyl record in a second-hand shop for two euros. I really don’t like loud, aggressive people who never let others finish a sentence. I hate waking up when it’s still pitch black outside and feeling like the sun forgot about us. I can’t stand when coffee is burnt or when someone calls my name in a really sharp, annoyed tone.
